Cults to headline first Bandersnatch Music Series show of the year

The indie pop duo of Madeline Folin and Brian Oblivion, better know as Cults, will headline University Union Concerts’ Bandersnatch Music Series first show of the year on Feb. 29. A student opener for the show will be announced at a later date. The show will be held in the Schine Underground, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and music starting at 8 p.m.

cultsAfter forming in Manhattan in 2010, cults quickly became one of the most talked-about acts in the indie music scene, garnering praises from influential industry tastemakers like pitchfork and Rolling Stone. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in the summer of 2011 to critical acclaim.

Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Schine Student Center Box Office. SU and SUNY-ESF students, faculty and staff can purchase tickets for $5 with a valid university ID.
