Registration open for April 2-4 campus sustainability conference
Syracuse University’s Sustainability Division invites students, faculty and staff to register for the eighth annual Northeast Campus Sustainability Consortium Conference being hosted by SU. The conference will be held for three days, from April 2-4, at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center. The conference registration fee is $175 through March 2. After March 2, it will increase to $200.
This year’s “Climate, Community and Culture” theme will explore the many interconnected and inter-disciplinary sustainability issues affecting college campuses today. The conference’s keynote will be delivered by Oren Lyons, Onondaga Nation Turtle Clan faithkeeper, Council of North American Aboriginal Nations member and an award-winning activist and speaker.
A series of presentations will focus on the following four conference tracks:
- Sustainability 101
- Community relations, operations and municipality collaborations
- Community-based research and education
- The next frontier in advancing campus sustainability
