Little Free Libraries launch event
The launch of the first Syracuse Little Free Library will be held on Friday, Feb. 3, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 331 Gifford St. in Syracuse.
Little Free Libraries are public telephone booths that have been retrofitted to house a set of books. Books are available for borrowing on the honor system.
The Little Free Libraries Project is a collaborative project between Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies (iSchool), the College of Visual and Performance Arts (VPA) and residents of Syracuse’s Near Westside.
