The annual poinsettia and wreath sale sponsored by the Women of the University Community (WUC) is underway now. Florist grade poinsettias come in two sizes and three colors: pink, white, and red. Evergreen door wreaths are 20" wide and made from balsam fir boughs.

All proceeds benefit our three scholarship funds: the Mildred Eggers Scholarship Fund, the Ruth Tolley Scholarship Fund, and the Beverly Whaley Scholarship Fund, which are presented annually.

Cash, checks and Syracuse University purchase requisitions (both white and yellow copies) made payable to Women of the University Community are accepted. An inclusive organization established at SU in 1927, WUC is open to all current or retired faculty, staff, trustees, graduate students and their spouses from SU, the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and the SUNY Upstate Medical University. Membership offers friendship, fellowship, interest groups, and information about the Syracuse community.

A main focus for WUC is the sponsorship of scholarships for women who attend SU and ESF. The Mildred Eggers award is presented to students in Continuing Education studying part time at University College; the Ruth Tolley award is presented to outstanding juniors in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics; and the Beverly Whaley scholarship goes to sophomores or juniors at ESF.
