Businesses run by Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) graduates Chris Cancialosi, a former Army officer, and Reggie Crane, a former Air Force operations manager, were profiled in an Inc. Magazine feature on seven innovative military startups. The pair completed the EBV program through EBV consortium school Florida State University's College of Business.
The Syracuse New Times interviewed Robert Gates, associate professor of English in The College of Arts and Sciences, about his photography exhibit, "Last Transfer: Identity & Liminality" and Humanities Center lecture. Gates' work will also have an Urban Video Project (UVP) presentation and a photographic presence on Connective Corridor buses. Robbi Farschman, director of community engagement and economic development at Syracuse University, and Gregg Lambert, Dean's Professor of the Humanities, founding director of the Syracuse University Humanities Center and director of the Central New York Humanities Corridor, are also quoted in the piece.
A recent issue of the Upstate Online newsletter features the Syracuse-Medical Legal Partnership (SMLP)—a special legal clinic between Syracuse University and Upstate University Hospital that assists Upstate patients with free legal assistance—and Courtny Osterling, a staff attorney for the partnership.
The Syracuse New Times reviewed the College of Visual and Performing Arts' Department of Drama presentation of "The Cradle Will Rock."

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications; Anthony Rotolo, assistant professor of practice in the School of Information Studies (iSchool); and iSchool students John Burke and Jessica Smith commented for a YNN report on Steve Jobs' passing and legacy. Rotolo also spoke via Skype with Binghamton's WICZ News (watch clip) about Jobs' impact on technology; and iSchool professors David Lankes and Jeffrey Rubin spoke on 9WSYR about the Jobs legacy and iSchool. Len Burman, Daniel Patrick Moynihan Professor of Public Affairs in the Maxwell School, is quoted in CNN Money about sizing up the proposed millionaires tax.
Menachem Z. Rosensaft, distinguished visiting lecturer at the SU College of Law, authored a Huffington Post column about Judaism in the State of Israel.
Alejandro Garcia, professor of social work in the Falk College's School of Social Work, is quoted in a Syracuse New Times article on the closing of the Ida Benderson Center and the risk of diminishing geriatric services in the area.
