James Schmeling, managing director of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University, participated in a small business resource workshop hosted by Congressman Richard Hanna on Monday, Sept. 26. Schmeling spoke on opportunities for veterans with disabilities.

Hanna invited business leaders, owners, entrepreneurs and officials from across the 24th Congressional District to participate in the workshop, offered as a service to upstate New Yorkers interested in learning more about growing or starting their own small businesses. Additional panels and presentations were presented by the Small Business Administration, successful local business owners and women-owned opportunities.
