Law school representatives visit campus to connect with SU students
Students thinking about going to law school have a unique opportunity to connect with representatives from more than 70 nationally recognized schools at Law School Day on Thursday, Sept. 22.
Law School Day will take place in tents on the Kenneth A. Shaw Quad from 5-7 p.m. Among the participating schools are American University Washington College of Law, Boston University School of Law, Cardozo School of Law, Fordham Law School and University of Richmond.
This event is an opportunity for students to learn about the offerings of various law schools by speaking with representatives about admissions criteria and financial aid, obtaining literature about programs and curricula, and signing up to receive further communications from selected schools.
Last year, 9 percent of SU's graduating class enrolled in law school full time directly after college.
"Law school continues to be a popular choice for some of our graduates," says Mike Cahill, director of Career Services. "Having law school representatives visit our campus helps students get to know the various programs and determine which schools might be a good fit for them.”
"Law School Day is all about helping our students gather information about law schools," says Pamela Latham, client services manager in Career Services. "Whether they're planning to apply to law school this fall or five years from now, they can make great connections and gain valuable insights from this event."
The full list of participating law schools can be found on the Career Services website. Students of all years and majors are encouraged to attend this event.
