Guardian Media in Trinidad and Tobago reported on a photovoice exhibition coordinated by Kishi Animashaun Ducre, assistant professor of African-American studies in The College of Arts and Sciences. "Our Community, Our Vision, Our Voices" is a collaborative project with women from North East Trinidad participating.

An Inside Higher Ed article about Foursquare badges and the use of social media by colleges and universities cites the example of the "Syracuse 44" badge in Foursquare's college badge program.

The partnership of Syracuse University's Hendricks Chapel in Artswego's Caravanserie project is noted in an Oswego County Today report. The Caravanserie project will bring Pakistani musicians and a filmmaker to Central New York for performances, campus residencies and community dialogues.

The SU Bookstore Book Fair and Syracuse Stories events as part of ArtsWeek in downtown Syracuse were briefly noted in a Syracuse New Times article.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in an MSNBC report on a website asking for predictions on the death of Amy Winehouse.

D. Chase Catalano, director of the LGBT Resource Center at Syracuse University, is quoted in an Inside Higher Ed article on transgender issues at single-sex educational institutions.

John Wolohan, part-time instructor in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, authored a blog posting in Athletic Business about civil and criminal liability on the part of coaches and athletic administrators in cases of hazing behaviors by student-athletes.

Amanda Nicholson, assistant professor of retail management in the Whitman School, commented in the Post-Standard on mall owner Macerich defaulting on its loan for ShoppingTown Mall.
