Data from Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) on immigration judges denying asylum requests is cited in a Dallas Morning News story (subscription required) on a Salvadoran woman seeking U.S. asylum. Also, statistics analyzed by TRAC are featured in a San Diego Union-Tribune article on felony convictions.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported on the continuing grant from the Winnick Family Foundation to support the SU Literacy Corps program. Pamela Kirwin Heintz '91, director of the Mary Ann Shaw Center for Public and Community Service (CPCS), and Karen Winnick '68, chairman of the Winnick Family Foundation, are quoted in the article. Literacy Corps is one of the CPCS literacy initiatives.

TMCNet reported on the summer course at SU, "Studio Recording/The Inclusive Recording Studio: Summer @SUbCat," which gives SU students the opportunity to teach Syracuse high school students with disabilities about the art of music production and recording engineering in a professional recording studio.
