Mehrzad Boroujerdi, associate professor of political science in the Maxwell School, has been named president-elect of the International Society for Iranian Studies.

He also earned a service award from the Institute of International Education's Scholar Rescue Fund for his work finding acedemic appoinments in the U.S. for Iranian scholars.
