VPA senior to present voice recital May 1
Sierra Fox, a senior vocal performance major in the Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, will present a recital on Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m. in Setnor
Auditorium, Crouse College. The recital is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Irving Garage.
Fox will perform a variety of pieces for mezzo-soprano, including an aria from “St. John's Passion” for alto, oboes and organ; Schumann's song cycle “Frauenliebe und Leben”; several duets for mezzo-soprano and soprano; and a selection of arias illustrating the
common roles in opera for the low female voice.
Guest artists include Setnor faculty member and University organist Kola Owolabi, Darcy Traunsteiner, Katherine Dee, Stephanie Rainess and Jordan Dusek.
