The Associated Press, Reuters, New York Times, Foreign Policy, ABC News, Politico, Washington Post, Austin American-Statesman, The National Interest, KTXL-SAC (Sacramento), KMIZ (Columbia, Mo.), 9WSYR-TV and the Post-Standard reported on James Steinberg, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, being named dean of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and University Professor of Social Science, International Affairs and Law, and Sherburne Abbott's appointment as Syracuse University's vice president for sustainability initiatives and University Professor of Sustainability Science & Policy.

The Post-Standard provided a full-page feature on SU's plans to move and expand the SU in LA facility to Sherman Oaks, providing added space for the University's immersion programs in the West Coast entertainment industry.

Kheli R. Willetts, executive director of Community Folk Art Center and assistant professor of African American Studies in The College of Arts and Sciences, was a guest on WSYR's morning talk show "Bridge Street" recently to discuss CFAC's upcoming 40th anniversary.

Hollywood Reporter, Fuse TV and the Post-Standard reported that singer-songwriter Pete Yorn will deliver the 2011 convocation address for the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in the New York Times on the popularity of NCAA March Madness.

Anthony Rotolo, assistant professor of practice in the iSchool, is quoted in an ABC News Radio story on jobs in social media.
