Edward Galvin, director of Archives and Records Management, published an article in the Spring 2011 issue of New York Archives Magazine on the archive and remembrance events at Syracuse University to honor the memory of the victims of Pan Am flight 103.

Big Think and PhysOrg reported on research led by Sheldon Stone, professor of physics in The College of Arts and Sciences, on behavior of B meson particles in Large Hadron Collider experiments at the CERN laboratory near Geneva.

Horace Campbell, professor of African American Studies and political science in The College of Arts and Sciences and Maxwell School, was quoted in Asia Times on Africom in Libya.

Roy Gutterman, associate professor of communications law and journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle on First Amendment issues and the student newspaper of SUNY Brockport.

WBEN (Buffalo) quoted Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, on Donald Trump's aspirations to become president. He is also quoted in a McClatchy article on the effect of some reality television programs on girls.
