SU Ambulance receives 'Striving for Excellence' recognition
At the 2011 National Collegiate EMS Foundation Conference held in Philadelphia, Syracuse University Ambulance was recognized as an agency “Striving for Excellence.” Honored for the 11th consecutive year, the NCEMSF Striving for Excellence in Campus EMS recognition program is an evaluation program that “assesses quality factors in EMS organizations including delivery of care, training and continuing education and service to the community.”
This year, SUA was represented at the conference by student members Kris Ferrara, Molly Furey, Brandon Gessner, Christopher Jennison, Lauren Monoxelos, Matthew Smith and EMS supervisor Heather Will.
Collegiate EMS agencies from around the United States attend the NCEMSF conference each year. In addition to receiving this award, SU Ambulance participated in teamwork building and skills competitions, and attended lectures that are offered at the conference each year.
