Technology, Art and Social Good (TASG) – 5 Minute Presentations
Friday, Feb. 25, 3 pm.
School of Information Studies, Katzer Room (Hinds Hall 347)
The newly forming group Technology, Art and Social Good (TASG) is hosting an informal series of 5-minute presentations by individuals and organizations working at the intersection of technology, art and social good. TASG is interested in publicly engaged efforts made with the intention of influencing political life, or structures, for the
social good. We are curious about a variety of approaches, including those that are highly direct as well as those that are less so. Presentations will represent a variety of academic disciplines.
We’ll have plenty of coffee, a projector for visuals, and we promise to keep presentations to the 5-minute limit. Our goal is simple: to scan what is happening as a first step in exploring the combined potential of engagement for social good with arts and technology. We hope to understand how students and faculty currently engage this area as part of their education and research and believe that there may be ways to enrich these experiences.
