'Fire Safety for Child Care Providers' community workshop to be held Nov. 6

The Jack Reilly Institute for Early Childhood and Provider Education, in collaboration with Child Care Solutions, Inc., will sponsor a free lecture on fire safety for child care providers on Saturday, Nov. 6, at Drumlins Country Club, 800 Nottingham Rd., from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

“Fire Safety for Child Care Providers,” is the first workshop in a new and innovative series for home- and center-based child care providers covering a broad range of early childhood education topics. These workshops are brought to the community by the Jack Reilly Institute for Early Childhood and Provider Education in SU's College of Human Ecology.

The Nov. 6 fire safety program will feature a lecture and break-out sessions where participants will share ideas with experts in the child care education field. Community collaborators with the Reilly Institute will highlight their programs and partnerships.

Free parking and lunch will be provided to program participants. The workshop will offer 4.25 Continuing Education Credits (training categories: Principles of Child Development; Safety and Security).
