The Department of Earth Sciences presents the fall 2010 K. Douglas Nelson Lecture Series, featuring Dr. Michael Bevis from The Ohio State University. His title is "Geodetic studies of geodynamic processes in the Central and Southern Andes.” The lecture will be on Thursday, October 7, at 4 p.m. in room 113, Heroy Geology Lab; refreshments will be served. Anyone wishing to meet with Dr. Bevis can contact his host Professor Jeffrey Karson. The University community and public are welcome to attend.
