Hradil joins Arts and Sciences development staff at Syracuse University
Frances "Fran" Hradil of Syracuse, N.Y., was named director of development in Syracuse University's College of Arts and Sciences Office of Advancement. Before joining the University, Hradil was director of strategic development with Partners for Arts Education.
Hradil's appointment is the latest in a series of additions to College advancement, designed to leverage national support for scholarships, endowed chairs, professorships, and expanded and enhanced facilities. She brings nearly 20 years of development, marketing, and events planning experience to The College. Her career includes healthcare, arts, and environmental and conservation causes. Before working with Partners for Arts Education, she spent 11 years with the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park, successfully overseeing their $6 million campaign, and three years with Syracuse Opera.
In addition to professional activities, Hradil has served on the boards of the George and Rebecca Barnes Foundation, Leadership Greater Syracuse and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She is an active volunteer with AIDS Community Resources and a member of the American Association of Museums. Hradil studied liberal arts at Maria Regina College.
