Register for upcoming Learning Opportunities technology sessions

Room is still available for these upcoming Learning Opportunities technology sessions:

• “Excel 2007 – Mastering Pivot Tables” on Thursday, July 8
• “InDesign – Getting Started” on Tuesday, August 10

Each session begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at noon. The cost to attend is $55 per session and advance registration and payment is required.

“Excel 2007 – Mastering Pivot Tables” will be held on Thursday, July 8 from 8:30 a.m. – noon in the ECM Computer Lab, 130-33, 621 Skytop. Presented by New Horizons of Syracuse, this workshop will show you how to set up your data to be used in a pivot table and then create basic and advanced pivot tables. The capabilities of pivot tables will be explored and these pivot tables will be formatted, modified, and filtered. In addition, pivot charts from the data will also be created and manipulated.

“InDesign – Getting Started” will be held on Tuesday, August 10 from 8:30 a.m. – noon at the New Horizons of Syracuse training facility in East Syracuse, NY. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of navigating the InDesign environments and creating an InDesign document. Upon successful completion of this session, participants will be able to organize the InDesign workspace and manage document and global settings; create a new document which includes graphics, shapes, and text; and, use master pages to manage consistency across or within documents.
