Vote for "Best of Show" at the On My Own Time exhibit
“On My Own Time” is an opportunity for SU employees to share their artistic talents and creativity with the campus and community-at-large. The juried in-house show runs through Thursday, May 20 in the Noble Room of Hendricks Chapel. The exhibit is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Over 35 faculty and staff members are exhibiting 88 pieces of art in a variety of categories including photography, ceramics, drawing and glasswork.
The in-house exhibit will be judged by a group of SU faculty and staff, as well as by a panel of professional artists from the Cultural Resources Council (CRC). Works selected by the CRC will join those from other participating local businesses in an exhibit at the Everson Museum in the fall of 2010. Visitors to the in-house exhibit have the opportunity to vote for a “Best of Show” piece.
“On My Own Time” is a creation of the CRC and Onondaga County, in cooperation with the Everson Museum of Art. It was developed as a community arts program to bring visibility to the creative skills of people employed in local businesses. SU is proud to be participating in the 37th year of this program.
