Save the date: 2010 Chase Corporate Challenge

What is the 28th annual 2010 Chase Corporate Challenge?

  • The Chase Corporate Challenge is an annual 3.5 mile walk/run that brings the greater Syracuse community together to promote healthy lifestyles, exercise and connections to the communities in which we live and work. SU will be one of over 200 organizations participating this year.

When is the Chase Corporate Challenge?

  • The 28th annual Chase Corporate Challenge will be held the evening of June 22, 2010 at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY. Race start is 6:25 p.m.

How can I participate?

  • Participants register as part of a team to compete with other company teams from central New York. HR encourages all benefits-eligible faculty and staff who meet the Chase Corporate Challenge eligibility to join the SU team this year. The SU team is defending its 2009 “Largest Participating Team” award with 450 members.
  • Form a smaller “internal” team to walk or run the race together with colleagues and friends. Many faculty and staff joined their colleagues to form 44 internal teams last year. If your 2009 team is going to join together again for the 2010 race, or if you are forming a new team, e-mail learn@syr.edu (subject: “SU Internal Corporate Challenge Team”) with the internal team name and the name and e-mail of the team leader.

How does my participation impact the community?

  • There is no fundraising required by participants; however the Chase Corporate Challenge strives to make a difference through a donation to a not-for-profit organization in Syracuse, and through their Teaming Up For a Greener Tomorrow program, an initiative designed to make the Corporate Challenge the world's greenest road race. More information can be found on the Chase Corporate Challenge website.

How do I register?

Registration for the Corporate Challenge will be available on the HR website (http://humanresources.syr.edu) the week of May 3. A formal announcement will be sent out at that time. The deadline to register will be June 3.
