Duck Race to End Racism seeks volunteers

The Community Wide Dialogue’s Eighth Annual Duck Race to End Racism is seeking volunteers. The event takes place Saturday, June 12, from noon-4 p.m. at the Syracuse Inner Harbor.

The Duck Race brings together all kinds of organizations and individuals who enjoy celebrating diversity and are committed to principles of racial equality. There’s non-stop entertainment, a parade, information booths for community organizations, food vendors and activities for children and families, in a cooperative and festival atmosphere for everyone.

Volunteers will receive a free Duck Race T-shirt. Shifts run from 7-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 3- 6 p.m. People who want to volunteer can sign up by emailing gsanders@interfaithworkscny.org, or call Gwen Sanders at 449-3552, ext 119.

The event is sponsored by InterFaith Works, National Grid and Syracuse University.
