Play It By Ear, Artists on the Brink co-sponsor Haiti Relief Benefit Concert
Play It By Ear, a nonprofit, arts advocacy organization that raises money for causes through artistic events, is teaming up with Artists on the Brink to help raise money for the Haiti relief effort. The two organizations will be hosting a benefit concert Friday, Jan. 29, at Funk ‘n’ Waffles. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door and additional donations are welcome.
All of the proceeds earned at the Haiti Relief Benefit Concert will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, where the money will go directly to relief efforts in Haiti. Comedian Davis Haynes will host the event, and more than 10 artists will be performing throughout the night. The musicians include Aaron Gittleman, Liz Lewis with Lucas Sacks, Stephen Babcock, Erica Scarano, Luke Wygodny, a SUNY Cortland band named New Relic and a New York City-based band called Drink Up Buttercup.
Artists on the Brink is a subdivision of University Union Concerts. University Union is the large-scale programming organization for the entire undergraduate population at Syracuse University.
