Vigil for Peace planned Dec. 1 at Hendricks Chapel
The Newman Association at Syracuse University’s St. Thomas More Catholic Center will sponsor a Vigil for Peace on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. at Hendricks Chapel. All members of the University community are invited to attend.
The vigil will be a celebration in song, poetry, prayer, Scripture readings and reflections on peace. The vigil will conclude with a candlelight gathering on the Quad for the recitation of a closing reflection.
“We will raise up our thoughts and pray for peace in our campus community, city, homes, workplaces and in the larger world,” says Terri Condon, campus minister at St. Thomas More. “We encourage all members of the University community to join us in support of peace in a world of violence that we know too well.”
For more information on the vigil, contact Steph Holmes at srm.holmes@gmail.com or Condon at 478-5959.
