College of Law's Soliz receives service award

Gina SolizGina Soliz, director of financial aid for the College of Law, was recently honored at the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA) conference and received the Thomas Monahan Service Award. She is a frequent presenter at national financial aid conferences including the upcoming Access Group Graduate and Professional Financial Aid Conference, where she will lead a comprehensive workshop.

Soliz has served as director of financial aid at Syracuse University College of Law since 1999. Currently an officer of the New York State Financial Aid Association's Executive Council, Soliz has also contributed to NYSFAAA as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee, serving as a regional treasurer, and chairing the Support Staff Workshop from 2001-2005. She is an active member of the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators having served on the 2009 Conference Planning Committee and the 2008 Graduate and Professional Concerns Committee.

Soliz received a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University.
