College of Law celebrates Reunion 2009, Oct. 2-4
Syracuse University College of Law welcomes all of its alumni back to the University Hill for Reunion 2009 on Oct. 2-4. This celebration includes the Law Annual Dinner, a pre-game tailgate, the Syracuse vs. South Florida football game and tours of the art exhibition “Winslow Homer’s Empire State: Houghton Farm and Beyond” at the SUArt Galleries. The campus-wide events are open to all alumni, with special recognition for class years ending in 4 and 9.
The Law Annual Dinner at the Hotel Syracuse on Oct. 2 will honor Professor Emeritus Travis H.D. Lewin for his distinguished career and 42 years of service. In addition, Sherman F. Levey ’57, L’59 will receive the Outstanding Alumni Service Award; and Onondaga County Supreme Court Judge Deborah H. Karalunas L’82 will receive the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
As part of Syracuse University’s Orange Central celebration, civil liberties advocate and legal pioneer, Karen L. DeCrow L’72, will receive a 2009 George Arents Award, the University’s highest honor. The Arents Award is part of the reunion gala luncheon.
