Mix It Up! Fridays at Slutzker Center
Meet new people. Learn about other cultures. Expand your world. Come to Mix It Up!, the weekly gathering at the The Lillian & Emanuel Slutzker Center dedicated to building community through dialogue, service projects and education.
Kick off your weekend with new friends, great food and fun at Mix It Up!, Fridays at 5 p.m. at the Slutzker Center.
Mix it Up! started as a program to prepare students for study abroad, and help them maintain and use the skills they gained upon their return to campus. These days, it's a space for dialogue and opportunities to work together on fun projects that focus on the international nature of our the campus and the city of Syracuse.
Projects include: Medley, a student magazine developed by the Mix It Up! group; community service; informational videos; new international student services; and discussion groups on identity, students' hometowns and student concerns on campus.
The Slutzker Center creates intercultural programming for students across campus through the collaboration of individuals, academic departments and organizations. The center is dedicated and committed to intercultural, international and diversity education. In addition, the center provides students and faculty with support in creating simple conversation, shared projects and open dialogue among students across the campus.
